Kent and Andreas - ready for a great session!

Andreas and I left just before 8:30 to visit AirTime.  I dropped off my 4.5 wing for a repair, and Andreas got a price for the repair of one of his foil kites.  We then went to Sailworks and had a great conversation with the guys.

We found out later that we missed the action.  Kent went to Sailworks to upgrade his 6m Flyer sail to a new one.  He ended up with a 6m sail, a 7m sail, a new mast, and a mast extension!  And all for under $2,500 Canadian.  Kent says that it's because new sails are the same as crack cocaine and Bruce is a master pusher!

Then Blaine and Brad went to Sailworks, so Brad could buy a new 3.2m sail and return the 2.7m sail he had tried out yesterday.

Big Air Jim, Cam and Cynthia also went to Sailworks, and picked up a demo 105 Litre Wind Foil board for Cynthia!  Consensus of of the people who did not sail the board,  and will not have to pay for it, is that Cynthia should get the board.  (I'm not sure what else they bought...)

Timara was calling for gusty conditions all day, but better west of Hood River, so Moiser/Rock Creek was the call for most of us.

Kent arrived first and was the only one in the parking lot - but the parking lot began to fill and continued to fill during the day.

Kent had to take this photo of his truck - the only vehicle in the parking lot!

Kent, Brad, Blaine, Bernd, Handre, Cam, Cynthia, Big Air Jim, Andreas and I were all there.

The wind was up and down, but generally very good all day.

I went out on my 3.5 and it was good for a while.  It then lightened up, so I went to shore and got my 5.5 and it was good for a while until it got over powered.  So I went to shore and got my 3.5, and then my 5.5, and then ended the day on my 3.5.

Cynthia was doing really well on the smaller 105L board.  I imagine they will be going home with it!

Cynthia on her the 105 board!

Kent won the award for the most mileage, and said he had a great day.

Andreas was out on his kite foil, and said it was a tough day with all the gusts, but he sure looked good out there.  Towards the end of the day, I came down with my camera and thought Andreas would be up for another session, but he said he was all worn out!  Wow - I haven't seen that before.......

Cam had a great day, but he punctured his wing with his foil, so more business for Air time.   It was interesting that we had one wing blow up on the beach and two blow up on the water so that's at least 4 wings that were damaged today.

Big Air Jim and Handre struggled a bit early, but then had great sails at the end of the day!   Handre actually finned with 3.4m sail.

Brad likes his new 3.2, and Baine had a great day as well.

Big Jim went to the event site and said he had the best foiling session ever on his 5.2m sail.

Gerry made the call to drive to Roosevelt, but the wind didn't kick in so he ended up watching Mike kite.  Mike did about 22km - I didn't talk to him, but it was obviously the best day ever!

We got off the water at about 5:00 and were packed up and back at the condo by 6:00.

Those of us at Ross's condo enjoyed some crackers, cheese and some of Louise's home made Rhubarb Chutney which was awesome.

At 7:00, everyone headed to 6th Street.  We had a group of 11 (everyone but Mike, who is still at Roosevelt).  It was a great meal as usual.  Chris greeted us like old friends!

Blaine, Handre, Ted, Kent and Brad!

After our meal there were a few more beers consumed at the other condo and a lot of bull shit spread about.

Early to bed.  Again!
