| Kimberly A&W for Breakfast! |
Louise and I got up around 8:00 and were out the door by 8:30. We rode the Rotary Way, North Star Trail, from Cranbrook to Kimberly and then UP Town to the A&W for lunch. It was a really nice ride, although up hill almost all the way! Wow! It was a good workout. There were some great views in places, although most of the ride was surrounded by trees. Where there were views, there were usually resting places with benches and information panels. One annoying thing was that the mileage was marked every 1/2 kilometer. It takes a lot longer to go 1/2 km when you are grinding up a hill!
After a nice breakfast we rode back to the motel! It was a much easier ride back to Cranbrook. They have done a great job on the trail. It was quite quiet on the way to Kimberly, but busier on the way home (later in the day).
We got back to the motel just before noon, and the motel guy's were kind enough to let us have a shower before we checked out.
We got to the border around 1:00, and then had lunch at a Burger Express in Bonners Ferry. The atmosphere was really cool, with an old Harley Motorcycle on display and photos of classic cars all around - but the food was a bit of a disappointment, and really expensive by Canadian standards - I guess we will have to get used to that!
We arrived in Sandpoint around 3:00ish and checked into our hotel. Louise and I then took our bikes to explore the Central park and then across the bridge! Louise called it quits, saying we had already done 80km and if she was going to ride again tomorrow, we should shut it down. So we went back to the central park and watched some kids trying to SUP, and a guy on a sailboat trying to rig his sails, but obviously he should go back for some lessons!
We then went to "The Bank" a nice restaurant with outside patios, just off the marina. The food and service was really excellent.
We were back in our hotel by 7:00. Lots of batteries to charge - and this blog to write! Great Day!

| Yes I was on an E-Bike, but I didn't turn it on. At the end of our ride - 58km - I still had 98% battery! |
